Perhaps you have heard the saying "everyone gets used to their own dirt." It's easy to be so familiar with our facilities that, over time, we begin to overlook things that are glaring to first-time guests. Our love for our church causes us to just accept the broken toilet, the water spots on the ceiling, or the lack of signage - after all, you know where everything is located.
 
While we may not want to admit it, our facilities are often the first impression that a guest uses to form their opinion about our church. While facility audits are best conducted by someone who is not familiar with our facilities, a self-assessment can be extremely helpful. It can help you look at things in a different light, cause you to think like a guest, and notice things that have perhaps been overlooked.
